El Mezon in Saint Peters

Great staff, delicious food and full bar. They have a fantastic Mariachi band the second Thursday each month. My wife and I had great time at El Mezon tonight!

You feel like family as soon as you walk in the door! Good, plentiful food! Fast and friendly service! Thank you!

We go here all the time and bring friends with us, but today when i called El Mezon to make reservations their phone etiquette was horrible. I couldnt tell if they were hanging up on me, or putting me on hold for for extended length of time. The last time i called he definitely hung up. I decided to leave them a review in hopes that they might learn the people that are calling are the very people that they see each week. You guys can do better!

ALWAYS amazing food here. The service is hit-or-miss because not everyone speaks English. Just a hint; if you're going to be serving the public in America, have people that speak the language. I'm not trying to be mean, but when you get the wrong order twice in a row because they didn't understand you, that's a problem! However, the occasional wrong order is totally worth the great food.

First time eating here and although it was a rainy day, and my family has been going through some tough times, the staff just took all of that away. Such a friendly environment and atmosphere. Since El Maguey closed near us, this is likely our new staple. I got the Chimichanga with chicken and my mom got the Speedy Gonzales and both were only about $6 on the lunch menu. Fast and we left satisfied. Check it out!

Food was awesome. Service a little slow but we ate on the patio and they were busy.

I read the reviews from the local guides and thought that this place would be desirable since they gave it such excellent reviews. I took my family here and we ordered a variety of food because we have six folks in our family and our evaluation is that there is a reason the pricing is so affordable. Portion size does not matter when it comes to quality and flavor. The food was of a low-quality and an undesirable flavor. The only thing that tasted good was the shrimp and the queso dip. The service was excellent with good communication which is important and reassuring. Our server was very familiar with the menu and the making of the food. While indeed it is true that if you go to this restaurant you will enjoy the service however do not go here for the food maybe perhaps the drinks are better I did not try any of the alcoholic beverages.

Love this place. We've been going here for years and they are always so friendly and the food is delicious and reasonably priced!

Prices are spectacular. Much below the flavor of the food. You should definitely give this one a try. Currently, the outside is under construction. Do not let that keep you from enjoying the good food served.

They made absolutely everything perfectly, the mariachi band was amazing, the service is top notch, they gave my girlfriend a free shot for her birthday, and this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant! I am DEFINITELY coming back!

Normally its good! We have not gone out to eat in 2 months BUT, 4 of us 2 adults 2 kids... the food was cold, everyones food came out different times, wait time was ridiculous considering they have have the tables and hardly anyone eating....ughhhh just was BAD

Family trying to call and place order on July 11th. Phone was picked up and set down. Repeatedly never once anybody answered and could hear people in back.

Seated quickly. The food was really good especially my son's chicken burrito. The servers weren't real attentive but it was busy and they were right there when we grabbed their attention. Would recommend!

Love this place! They are so friendly and quick! We can usually get in and out within 20 minutes (order, get food, & eat). I love their grilled chicken quesadilla!

Just got curbside pickup tonight, was pleasantly surprised they are offering to-go margaritas! Remember to tip well during these curbside pickup times!

First time in. Ordered by phone and picked up. It was one of the best super quesadilla, a almazan special burrito and taquitos. Everything tasted delicious and cannot wait to go back and try more. Very friendly staff.

The food was good the service was good but it smells inside very badly had to wash my clothes as soon as I got home because they stunk so bad

Arrived later in the evening and wasn't too crowded. There were many working so expected service to be quicker. While waiting for our food, a manager was mopping the floors all around us and the vapors from the cleaning solution was nauseating!!! Who does that when customers are sitting there? If they wanted to mop and get ready for closing, they should have closed that area. Then I looked over at another corner of the restaurant and a server was sweeping around a table of customers eating. This is just not something that seems appropriate or courteous. The drinks were good and the food portions were huge. They warned of the hot plate, but the food on the plate wasn't hot...just a little warm. Very disappointed.

I wish I would've come here sooner! This place is so cute and feels authentic. My bf ordered the Molcajete, which is basically spicy Mexican stew in a tomato/hot sauce concoction served with tortillas, the presentation is amazing and the flavor is the same!

The beat food possible but the service isnt good you got to wait for salsa and wait 15 min for soda refill and then ask for you check but I will go back for the food its just that good

Great taco salad for lunch. The meat and toppings were just right for my mid day meal. Good atmosphere and the staff were very nice.

We waited over an hour for our food. Then they forgot about my husband's order ( steak and fries ) so we told them to forget about the steak and fries and we got the rest to go. After eating my chicken quesadilla fajita I got so sick. We will never return.

Different take on some fantastic plates. Share. Very large portion. Going back to check out a few specialty drinks.

Great tex-mex ❕

This restaurant offers more than just the plain old Tex Mex. Having grown up in Texas myself I was able to find beef tongue here that was perfect! Our children love their queso dip you get a generous portion and it has a slightly sweet flavor they love. We were lucky enough to catch an evening when they had live music something our children had never heard before. Friendly employees all around and a great atmosphere.

Although it's a tad better than the rest of the Mexican places in the culinary wasteland of St. Charles, it's not really that good. Prices are high and the salsa sucks. I like the beer mugs, though. Service was spotty. No specials. Will pass in the future unless we're in the area with limited options.

We love this place! Not a chain (I believe) so recipes are "homemade " and always delicious. They also have a Happy Hour. Check them out!

We have been here a few times and the food is always great. The service has always been top notch. Juan waited on us for lunch and is very professional. Also, before our tip our filling meal for 2 was under $12.

Our server was fantastic and the food was totally bomb.

Must of been having a bad day or got new cooks. Couldn't get the orders right and brought my friend the wrong food. Remodeling must have gone to their head or something. Not enjoyable experience.

Amazing service, really all you need to know however food tasted great (chicken fajitas)and they gave us TOO much for for a lunch, NO complaint.
